Dr. Drew Pinsky nearly shut his show down and ultimately had to kick a Black Lives Matter supporter out of his studio for disrupting a panel discussion of CNN’s Republican presidential debate.
The woman initially was given a microphone to ask a question. She said Republicans didn’t talk about the Black Lives Matter movement at the debate because they have Dr. Ben Carson in the running.
Then she disparaged the retired pediatric neurosurgeon a “token.”
“This is a big issue that’s going on in America, but we’re turning our head,” the woman said. “It’s people fighting in the street. It’s all kinds of stuff going on, but nobody is saying this in a political debate, and that’s wrong.”
Pinsky asked Breitbart reporter Alex Swoyer, who was at the debate with Carly Fiorina’s camp, to respond.
“I think it’s also very important to remember that the whole Black Lives Matter movement started in Ferguson, Missouri, which now we know wasn’t true,” she said. “There wasn’t a ‘hands up, don’t shoot.'”
That’s when the belligerent woman started screaming and disrupting the show, causing Pinsky to shoot out of his chair and threaten to stop the telecast.
“Listen. Hey, everybody,” he said. “I’m going to shut down this TV show and go to a test pattern unless people behave themselves and behave civilly. I’m not kidding. I’m not kidding. It’s a live television show, and I will go to a test pattern if I have to.”
That’s when security removed the woman from the studio.
“I don’t care about the show! I don’t care about the show!” the woman shouted as she was removed.
