Bristol Palin blasted President Barack Obama for inviting 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed to the White House after the teenager was arrested for bringing what looked like a homemade bomb to school for a science project earlier this week.
Cool clock, Ahmed. Want to bring it to the White House? We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great.
— President Obama (@POTUS) September 16, 2015
Palin’s blog on Patheos read:
This is the kind of stuff Obama needs to STAY out of. This encourages more racial strife that is already going on with the “Black Lives Matter” crowd and encourages victimhood.
The police made a mistake, clearly.
But why put more people against them? Why egg it on? Childish games like this from our president have divided our country … even more today than when he was elected.
Much media hay has been made about the arrest of Mohamed because he is a Muslim. While the issue can be debated, there was no concerted public and media backlash over the totalitarian school suspension of a child for eating a Pop Tart into the shape of gun. Not to mention the teenager who last summer was suspended and arrested for writing a fictional essay about slaying a dinosaur with a “gun.”
Those “offenses” seemed far more innocuous by comparison:
Yet Obama’s response time to Mohamed’s arrest was impressive for a president who took five long days to get around to lowering the nation’s flags to half-staff after five military personnel were shot in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in July.
The Steinle family, which has been fighting an uphill battle to rid the nation of “sanctuary cities” that harbor illegal alien criminals, like the repeat offender who killed family member Kate Steinle in July, is still waiting for acknowledgment from Obama.
Who knows? Maybe the “dinosaur slayer” will get an invite to the White House one of these days – but he shouldn’t hold his breath.
