‘Fox News Anchor or Porn Star?’ One beauty fires back after Conan plugs trashy fake book

fox-ladiesFox News continues to serve as a convenient punching bag for the left, and the indignity apparently extends to the women who work for the highest rated cable news channel.

Despite all the rancor from liberals about a war on women, comparing female hosts on Fox News to porn stars is just another day at the office as seen Monday from comedian Conan O’Brien.

The late night show host was doing a segment on supposed books that failed to sell, when he targeted Fox News host Jenna Lee and colleague Sandra Smith.

“Here’s a book – a coffee table book that just didn’t sell,” O’Brien said. “It’s called Fox News Anchor or porn star? You have to figure it out. Very hard – I say anchor.”

The book he held up featured Lee on the front, with Smith and two other women gracing the back cover.

“Very hard to know,” the late night comedian added, before tucking the book under his jacket in a mock gesture and saying, “This book’s a keeper right here.”

Can you imagine the uproar if female hosts from CNN or MSNBC were treated this way?

Nevertheless, Lee opted to respond to O’Brien’s “trashy” dig to explain more about the photo used on the cover of the book and share her thoughts about the bit.

“I think to myself… ‘I signed up for this business, didn’t I?'” she wrote. “But as a wife, and a new mom, this trashy comment is not only inappropriate, it’s clearly ridiculous.”

Appropriately, she ended her remarks with the hashtag: #StayClassy.
