Not everyone believes Donald Trump used the live primetime coverage of his massive campaign event at the American Airlines Center in Dallas Monday night wisely.
The Republican presidential front-runner received thunderous applause from the crowd of about 20,000 as Trump bragged about himself, bashed his competition, and boasted about his noticeable lack of Teleprompters. But it wasn’t too far into the speech when some viewers seemingly grew weary from something else that was noticeably missing … talk of actual policy.
Conservative firebrand Dana Loesch took to Twitter to post her frustration over Trump’s apparent lack of focus.
I would just think that if you have all of this free, prime time TV exposure you’d use it to unveil a policy.

And Loesch wasn’t the only one with that observation:
A half hour in, Trump hasn’t mentioned anything about border security or illegal immigration in Dallas. — Patrick Svitek (@PatrickSvitek) September 15, 2015
@PatrickSvitek hasn’t mentioned anything!! 30 min and has not actually said anything

MORE Trump from Dallas- “I would be soo good at foreign policy. How good? Very good.” “I have a lot of money. How much? A lot. A whole lot.” — Richard Goodwin III (@RRGoodwinIII) September 15, 2015
Donald Trump in Dallas 98% about him 2% about policy

Even without policy specifics, for many Trump fans, his fiery rhetoric was just what the doctor ordered.
Finally getting around to illegal immigration, Trump said, “We are a dumping ground for the rest of the world. You people are suffering … I’m in New York, but they’re in New York, too. They’re all over the place. It’s disgusting what’s happening to our country!”
Trump also ginned up the crowd by saying that President Obama “doesn’t know what the hell he is doing.”
And it’s that kind of talk that packed the house in the first place:

@DLoesch – There is time for that. I like the candor. We LOST because of lack of candor. Mitt talked policy. Look how that turned out.

And this woman’s dress said it all:
