Govt. hiding 28 pages on 9/11 attack; O’Reilly calls for Obama to release them immediately

attkisson-headerFamily members of 9/11 victims want to know why 28 pages of information that purportedly contain the names of people who helped the 9/11 terrorists remain classified 14 years later.

Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson, who will host a new TV show, “Full Measure,” beginning next month, appeared on Fox News’ “The O’Reilly Factor” on Thursday to discuss the mystery and explain why it is unacceptable.

“By not holding [those persons who helped the hijackers] accountable, it sends a message that these victims’ families argue, that the facilitators can continue to get away with” similar acts, she told host Bill O’Reilly.

Although she has not seen the classified pages, Attkisson said those who have read it say some of the names of those who helped finance and facilitate the attack belong to Saudi government officials and royal family members.

“Both Democrats and Republicans who’ve read these say there is no legitimate national security reason in their view for these pages to be kept secret,” she said.

When O’Reilly said the Saudis did not want the pages released, Attkisson countered, “Saudi Arabia claims, at least publicly … that they do want them released.”

“Then President [Barack] Obama should declassify them,” O’Reilly said.
