Hillary’s dirty laundry: Huma made more than the president, but it STILL wasn’t enough

Nearly half a million dollars just isn’t enough for people doing Hillary’s dirty work.

A new email released by the State Department quotes Hillary Clinton’s top aide Huma Abedin complaining about not making enough money, despite raking in more than the president of the United States.

Abedin apparently complained often enough about her lack of pay for it to become a joke among other close aides. One example, cited by the Weekly Standard, was included in an email as a casual reference to Abedin’s apparent dissatisfaction with her current salary.

And, to be honest, she might be right. Acting as Clinton’s top aide has to be a pretty demanding role.

Of course, the Clintons can obviously relate to being “dead broke.” And that’s probably why Abedin was upgraded to “special employee” status, allowing her to take on multiple jobs.

According to the Washington Post, she simultaneously received pay from multiple employers, including the State Department, Teneo Holdings, the Clinton Foundation, and Clinton’s personal funds.

Altogether, this amounted to at least $490,000 in total compensation. That’s more than the president of the United States made.

Life is tough for Washington elites, right?
