A St. Louis Rams cheerleader who also happens to be a lieutenant in the Marines got the surprise of a lifetime at Sunday’s preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.
And it came from a fellow soldier, who also happens to be her husband.
The big moment came during a first quarter timeout, when the Rams played a video message from Marine 1st Lt. August Valentine, husband of cheerleader and Marine 1st Lt. Candace Valentine.
August was supposed to have been stationed in South Korea. But surprise! He was able to make it to her first game.
The Rams lost to the Colts — but the moment more than made up for it.

The Rams also marked the moment with this tweet:
So we just gave @STLRamsCheer’s Candace a really good surprise!! ? pic.twitter.com/98jlryTrdO
