While Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump doesn’t think too highly of Fox News host Megyn Kelly‘s journalistic skills today, that was not always the case.
In fact, not too long ago he thought Kelly was “great.”
Trump was entertaining the idea of moderating a Republican presidential debate for Newsmax back in 2011, and he sat down with Kelly at the time to discuss how he’d perform in that capacity, according to Mediaite.
“I’d cover a lot of things that people wouldn’t cover,” he said. “I think I know the issues better than most.”
“Do you really think you’re a better moderator than I am?” Kelly playfully interjected.
Based on Trump’s reply, he clearly did not see Kelly then as the “bimbo” he envisions today.
“No, I could never beat you,” the real estate tycoon said. “That wouldn’t even be close. That would be no contest. You have done a great job, by the way, and I mean it.”
What a difference a few years makes, huh?
