Fox News host Megyn Kelly did not directly respond to the attacks against her from Donald Trump on Monday, but she did get in a small jab.
At the end of “The Kelly File” on Tuesday, the Fox News host said she had a special message to end the show. With the ongoing attacks on Kelly from the 2016 Republican presidential front-runner, it was easy to speculate that the message would be in response to Trump’s most recent comments asserting Kelly was “off her game” and “should go back on vacation.”
And it kind of was.
Kelly took the opportunity to wish her husband Doug Brunt a happy birthday, describing him as “a gentleman, a class act, a smart, kind, strong man.” One might assume she doesn’t see Trump as any of these things.
She ended by saying “I bought him a Donald Trump tie,” to the laughter of those in the studio.
