Oops! Auto-correct text leads to amusing birthday cake mistake: ‘Hope no one is offended’

A Scottish mom’s text to a baker led to a hilarious birthday cake mistake for her daughter that had people on social media roaring with laughter.

The mother texted instructions to her friend who was baking the cake, intending to ask for a “wee blonde girl on top,” but, unfortunately for her, her phone’s autocorrect changed it to “wee blind girl.”

When the mom went to get the cake from the baker, she was stunned. But upon reading her text and seeing the mistake, she decided to keep it because she found it amusing.

“The text must have autocorrected to ‘blind girl’ and when my mum went to collect it she was wondering why it wasn’t blonde,” the woman’s daughter, and birthday girl’s sister, Emily Seggie told Buzzfeed News. “They then realized what had happened after checking the text and decided to leave it on as was funny. Hope no one is offended.”

Seggie tweeted about the mishap Sunday and it has since garnered more than 27,000 favorites and nearly 18,000 retweets, along with tons of comments.
