See what happens when Beck and Hannity finally face off on Trump

Glenn Beck had a lot of explaining to do after publicly calling out Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Michael Savage and Rush Limbaugh, referring to them as “conservatives” using scare-quotes, for their support of Donald Trump.

Appearing on the Fox News show “Hannity” on Monday, Beck said he wanted to know how conservatives could look at Trump’s record, noting that Trump “self identifies more as a Democrat,” and say “that’s our guy.”

On Friday, Beck wrote a lengthy post on his Facebook page in which he asked “what am I missing?” after recounting Trump’s history in a negative light.

Hannity responded on Sunday in his own blog post in which he  individually addressed Beck’s points. The two finally came together on Hannity’s program, facing off on Trump.

“His record is horrendous when it comes to conservative principles,” Beck told Hannity.

While both Beck and Hannity said they are currently undecided on whom they will vote for, Beck said Trump is “progressive in nature.”

Hannity fired back, saying that he likes Trump’s views and outsider status.

“I think there is a reason for his success,” Hannity explained. “I think the reason is Republicans are weak, and they are timid, in Washington especially.”

He added that the Republicans have broken so many promises, “Americans are fed up, the problems we face are severe.”

Tangling over Trump’s past remarks,  Hannity said “I don’t care what he said in the past,” while Beck compared Trump’s style to President Barack Obama.

Hannity concluded, “Here’s a guy that’s been successful, loves the country, sees what both of us see: America in decline.”

“He’s not Barack Obama,” Hannity said, and on that, at least, Beck agreed.
