‘Tebow Time’ takes over after QB returns to NFL, gives crowd what they want

“It’s Tebow Time once again in the National Football League and the fans are loving it.

The outspoken Christian quarterback made his return to NFL action Sunday in a pre-season game for the Philadelphia Eagles and the crowd roared so loudly that he had to quiet them just so he could communicate with his team.

After two years away from the NFL, Tebow didn’t disappoint, letting his fast feet do the talking and running in a touchdown that sent Lincoln Financial Field rocking.

After the game, Tebow told reporters that he appreciated the love from the fans, and the chance to get into an NFL game again.

“It’s very humbling. It definitely means a lot,” he said of the ovation.

“Seeing the end zone and fighting to get in,” he added. “I’ve been blessed to have a few opportunities in my life.”

And while the Philadelphia crowd was busy chanting his name, social media was equally busy making the 28-year-old Tebow the No. 1 trend on Twitter.
