Donald Trump revealed his secret identity to a 9-year-old as his chopper flew over the patchwork of Iowa farmland, telling a boy “I am Batman.”
Sarah Bowman and three of her four kids got the thrill of their lives when they piled into Trump’s luxury helicopter for a ride over the Iowa State Fair on Saturday.
William, 9, and his brothers Sean, 6, and Brendan, 5 rode along with the billionaire who resembles the fictional Bruce Wayne in many ways—including admitting to his crime-fighting alter-ego. Three-year-old Henry got scared and stayed on the ground with his dad.
The Bowman children, pictured here (from Sarah Bowman’s Facebook page) wearing Batman T-shirts at a local Des Moines restaurant, seem to love the caped crusader.
After snapping a photo posing in front of Trump’s chopper, they climbed aboard. William had his Go-Pro camera along, and took a picture of his mom sitting with The Donald in the helicopter’s fine leather upholstery.
As the chopper spun up for takeoff, William asked the question that had been on his mind, according to a CNN report Sunday.
“Mr. Trump,” he said, aiming the camera at his benefactor.
“Yes,” Trump said, pulling on the lapels of his jacket.
“Are you Batman?” the boy asked.
“I am Batman,” Trump said.
Somehow we knew it all along.
