Billionaire presidential candidate Donald Trump has more than enough money to fund his own campaign, and he says he will use a billion dollars if he has to.
When CNN’s Jeremy Diamond asked Trump outside of the Iowa State Fair on Saturday what his campaign budget was, Trump responded in his typical blunt fashion.
“It’s irrelevant,” he said. “I make $400 million a year, so what difference does it make? What I want to do is make the country great.”
When asked point blank later in the afternoon if he would go as high as $1 billion on his campaign, the Republican presidential front-runner he said quickly.
“If necessary, I will spend it, yes,” he said.
Now that’s commitment.
