‘Stump for Trump’ ladies hijack Don Lemon’s show; poor guy never had a chance

stump2CNN’s Don Lemon talked about “passion and fire” when introducing a segment featuring the “Stump for Trump” girls, and found himself struggling to keep a lid on all the enthusiasm.

Lynnette “Diamond” Hardaway and Rochelle “Silk” Richardson became YouTube sensations after a video of them backing Republican presidential contender Donald Trump went viral.

The ladies were thrust into the spotlight after they created the video in defense of Trump, following last week’s presidential primary debate on Fox News that featured a testy exchange between Trump and host Megyn Kelly. The video has been viewed over a million times.

“He was talking my language, pretty much,” Richardson replied, when asked by Lemon why she supports the real estate tycoon. “I said, ‘Oh my God, this is going to be our next president right here.'”

“He is going to make America great again, and that’s why I stump for the Trump,” Hardaway chimed in.

She went on to explain some of the challenges facing the country — with a lot of passion.

“We have a border that needs to be secure,” Hardaway told Lemon. “We have ISIS trying to cut off heads. We have people going into movie theaters shooting it up, Don.”

“We’ve got to secure this border,” she repeated. “We have to make America great again. and the only way that we can do that is with Donald Trump!”

The “Stump for Trump” girls acknowledged that the Trump campaign has reached out to them. This is probably not the last time America hears from them.
