A White House special assistant to President Obama is facing charges after being arrested Friday for shooting at her boyfriend with his own Capitol Police service weapon while the two fought over her belief that he was cheating on her, according to Fox News.

Barvetta Singletary, 37, got into the fight with her boyfriend after the two had sex at her home in Upper Marlboro, Md., according to Fox. While she was walking him to his car, she took the man’s service weapon and cell phones. She ordered him to give her the passwords so she could see messages on the phones.

“You taught me how to use this,” she said, according to Fox. “Don’t think I won’t use it.”

She did. And fired once. The man ran away, Fox reported.

Singletary was arrested at the scene.

Questioned about the incident Monday, White House spokesman Josh Earnest had little to to say, noting only that Singeltary’s access to to the White House has been restricted.

But as the news spread Monday, social media users had a lot to say about a Democrat White House that loves to talk gun control having an aide who needs self-control.
