Debate was child’s play compared to what Rubio just did to CNN’s Cuomo on abortion!

cuomo-rubio1Sen. Marco Rubio gave CNN’s “New Day” co-host Chris Cuomo some serious push-back when he questioned the Florida Republican’s stance on abortion Friday.

Rubio categorically told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly during Thursday’s GOP presidential debate that he believes life begins at conception and that he “never advocated” exceptions for abortion, such as in cases of rape or incest.

Cuomo thought he had a gotcha, and brought up a bill that Rubio cosponsored in 2013 that would have blocked abortions after 20 weeks but included a “carve-out” for rape, incest and to save the mother’s life.

Cuomo told Rubio, “It seems you had your own record wrong,” and asked, “Is that something you want to correct this morning?”

“Everybody supported that bill. Every single pro-life senator, every single pro-life group … supported that bill you’re just talking about, because it prevents abortions,” Rubio said.

The senator reiterated that he doesn’t support rape or incest exceptions.

“First, I think both of those instances are horrifying,” Rubio said. “Any time it happens, it’s horrifying, it’s a tragedy. But I personally and honestly and deeply believe that all human life is worthy of protection — irrespective of the circumstances in which that human life was created. I personally believe that you do not correct one tragedy with a second tragedy.”
