Ann Coulter: Why every other GOP candidate ought to be THANKING Donald Trump

kelly-coulterWith illegal immigration a major issue for Republican voters heading into 2016, conservative columnist and author Ann Coulter has a question she wants every GOP candidate to answer at their first debate Thursday night.

How many is enough?

The author of “Adios America: The Left’s Plan To Turn Our Country Into A Third World Hellhole” said the candidates who express concern about border security without committing to building a wall along the southern border aren’t serious on the issue.

How many immigrants are enough?” Coulter asked on “The Kelly File.” “We have 42 million now. 100 million? 200 million? How many are enough?”

The issue has become a major point among GOP primary voters since Donald Trump’s controversial announcement that he is running for president drew new attention to crimes committed by immigrants in the country illegally. High-profile cases, like the shooting of San Francisco’s Kathryn Steinle on July 1, only helped cement the case in the public mind.

The controversy is going to mean big ratings for the Republican debate in Cleveland, Coulter said. And that means Republicans will have a chance to get their message across to the broader American public, she said.

“Every other candidate on stage ought to be thanking Donald Trump,” Coulter said. “Otherwise, it would have been me and a few other political obsessives watching. Now, you’re going to have ratings like, if not the Super Bowl, at least the World Series, I think.”

Coulter told Fox News host Megyn Kelly that she also approved of Mitt Romney’s solution: Force businesses to use E-verify, which would result in illegal immigrants self-deporting.

“We didn’t round them up to get them here,” Coulter said. “They’re going to go home the same way they came.”
