‘I would beat him so easily’: Trump matches Obama’s ego on third-term cockiness

trump_otr2Count Republican presidential contender Donald Trump among those who’d relish the opportunity to take on President Barack Obama, if Obama could try for a third term.

“Obama would get creamed if he ran again,” Trump told Fox News host Greta Van Susteren on Tuesday.

While addressing the African Union earlier in the day in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the president seemed to lament that he’s done.

“I actually think I’m a pretty good president,” Obama said. “I think if I ran, I could win. But I can’t.”

Staying true to form, he then had the audacity to say “no person is above the law, not even the president.”

But Trump disagreed with Obama’s assessment. Vehemently.

“I think he would fail miserably if he ran again,” Trump said. “I would beat him so easily.”

“People are tired of these politicians,” he added. “We need energy, we need enthusiasm, and we need a much tougher tone.”
