Sheriff puts ‘In God We Trust’ on ALL patrol vehicles; atheists are outraged!

Stone County Sheriff Doug Rader is not well known outside his home state, but that’s all about to change.

The Missouri lawman took to social media this week to announce that he has placed “In God We Trust” stickers on all patrol vehicles — much to the chagrin of the non-believers at Friendly Atheist.

“The worst part is that there probably is no legal recourse here,” the blog laments. “‘In God We Trust’ has become so neutralized in our court system that judges no longer see it as Christian. That’s how good it is to be in the Protestant majority in this country.”

But it gets even better. The sheriff includes an introductory message on the website where he talks about his “sworn duty to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.”

A duty that he believes puts him at odds with the White House.

“I am concerned with the tone of the Obama administration with respect to the Second Amendment Rights of American citizens,” Rader wrote.  “It appears to me and many Americans that there is a genuine desire on the part of the Obama administration to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law abiding American citizens in the interest of curbing gun violence in our nation.”

You can expect the liberal meltdown to begin at any moment … meanwhile, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio and Wisconsin Sheriff David Clarke are about to get some well-deserved company.
