Dems want no part of Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson; cut names from annual gala

jeff-jackThe quest to eradicate the Founding Fathers continues anew within the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party of Connecticut has removed the names of Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson from its annual fundraising dinner because of their ties to slavery, according to the Connecticut Post.

The state party was responding to pressure from the NAACP — pressure that comes in the aftermath of the death of nine black churchgoers in Charleston, S.C., the Post reported.

The resolution was passed by a voice vote with no dissent.

“I see it as the right thing to do,” said party Chairman Nick Balletto. “I wasn’t looking to be a trailblazer or set off a trend that’s going to affect the rest of the country. Hopefully, they’ll follow suit when they see it’s the right thing to do.”

Never mind that Jefferson drafted the Declaration of Independence, that he wrote, “We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal” — he and Jackson are also featured on U.S. currency.

Then again, this is the party that booed God during the 2012 Democratic National Convention.

If Jefferson is now suspect in the eyes of liberal America, what chance does the father of our country, George Washington, have?

The greater question is when does the madness stop and Americans begin rejecting the racially driven, politically correct nonsense coming from political zealots?

Through revisionist history and the totalitarian practice of banning certain words and phrases, it seems the white man’s days in American history may very well be numbered.
