After presidential contender Donald Trump publicly released rival Lindsey Graham’s private telephone number in the senator’s home state of South Carolina Tuesday, Graham tried to fight back with humor.
He almost nailed it.
Probably getting a new phone. iPhone or Android?

The problem, of course, is that new phone with same number Trump released will just get just as many Trump-inspired calls as the old one did.
Twitter users were quick to point it out, too.

@LindseyGrahamSC Not new phone, new phone number. Oh boy.

Technically you need a new number. A new PHONE will still get your Trump calls. https://t.co/wAHZfkm41G

Still, Graham got props for trying.
Well played. (I love my iPhone6) https://t.co/RZVvTnxe8S

Well, he had to try something. It’s not everyday a guy running for the Republican nomination for president gives out the personal phone number of another guy running for the Republican nomination for president.
