‘I think we kind of missed a lead here’: MSNBC ‘stunned’ that Hillary is tanking in poll

With the media still hyperventilating over the latest offerings from Donald Trump, MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” crew found time Wednesday to report on Hillary Clinton’s stunning drop in a new poll.

Quinnipiac University “Q Poll” shows the Democratic presidential contender’s “favorability” ratings plummeting, with the candidate now trailing several key Republican candidates in Iowa, Virginia and Colorado.

“I think we kind of missed a lead here,” said co-host Mika Brzezinski, in reference to Clinton’s upside-down ratings.

You think?

Having once led all GOP contenders, Clinton now trails U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in these states.

“Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd said Clinton’s struggles would be the big story were it not for Trump sucking all the air out of the room.

“If it wasn’t for Donald Trump, the biggest story of the summer would be Hillary Clinton’s problems solidifying herself inside the Democratic party,” he said.

Todd also noted that the poll results “fits another pattern of hers,” saying that “whenever she’s been out front as the face of the Democratic party, her numbers have gone down. They always have.”

“Why is that?” asked Scarborough, who described the poll results as “stunning.”

“You could simply say, she doesn’t ‘wear well,’”Todd replied. Ouch.
