It’s now all-out war between Donald Trump and the Huffington Post.
Trump didn’t let it slide when the Post decided to move its coverage of the Republican presidential candidate from the politics section to the entertainment pages.
Calling the real-estate mogul’s candidacy a “sideshow,” the Post’s editors said they would move all future stories on Trump next to stories about the Kardashians and the “Bachelorette.”
But Trump is hitting back with a blistering press release.
After saying he was “not focused on being covered by a glorified blog,” Trump pointed out that he is leading the polls published by the “unimportant” Huff Post.
“Mr. Trump is number one in the unimportant Huffington Post poll, along with all other recently released polls, including Reuters, FOX, USA Today/Suffolk University and The Economist,” the press release says.
Trump’s statement even took a shot at the Post’s history of bad business practices.
“If you read previously written tweets, Mr. Trump has never been a fan of Arianna Huffington or the money-losing Huffington Post.”
One thing the Post actually did seem to get right is that Trump certainly can be entertaining — especially when he hits back at a petulant and “unimportant” liberal “blog.”
