Chattanooga killing spree claims fifth victim, US Navy sailor

Navy Petty Officer Randall Smith, who was critically wounded during Thursday’s Chattanooga, Tennessee, killing spree by terrorist Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez, has died.

The Daily Mail reported:

Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Randall Smith, 26, passed away in hospital at 2.17am on Saturday, the Navy confirmed.

A logistics specialist, Smith was the fifth victim to succumb to his injuries after gunman Mohammad Youssuf Abdulazeez opened fire on Thursday afternoon.

He is survived by his wife of four years, Angie Smith, and three daughters under the age of six.

Fox News anchor Heather Childers tweeted:

Smith, an Ohio native, was commemorated by Ohio Gov. John Kasich:

Many who responded blamed President Barack Obama for his relaxed immigration policies and his campaign of “leading from behind” in the Middle East.

But most were simply heartbroken.

Finally, The Gateway Pundit’s Jim Holt tweeted:

Rest in peace, Sailor. May you enjoy fair winds and following seas.
