Obama extends Ramadan greeting after terrorist killed Marines on US soil

After the attack on two separate Chattanooga, Tennessee, military installations by a local Kuwait-born Muslim, President Barack Obama extended his wish for a happy Eid-ul-Fitr to U.S. Muslims.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

Actor James Woods took notice also and tweeted his disgust. One of his replies showed the president’s priorities:

Ramadan ends Friday evening. Last month, the terror group Islamic State called for heightened violence during the month of Ramadan.

Looks like they got their wish.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Ramadan greeting surfaced from the White House on Twitter close to the time of President Obama’s comments on the shooting. The original post said that the greeting came first, as there are reports of the greeting earlier, via Twitter, but we have not been able to verify the exact time.
