When MSNBC political analyst Mark Halperin tried to make the Planned Parenthood undercover video controversy more about former Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s dislike of the abortion provider, Perry deftly turned the tables.
The video shows a Planned Parenthood physician casually talking about selling fetal body parts while she swills Chianti and pops canapés into her mouth.
At about the two-minute mark of Perry’s Thursday appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Halperin asks Perry several questions about Planned Parenthood, including, “Why are you so troubled by this video?”
Instead of answering directly, Perry turned the question around.
“Mark, let me ask you,” he said. “You looked at that video, and you’re good with it?”
“I think the video raises a lot of questions that you and others have raised,” Halperin acknowledged.
“It does indeed,” Perry said. “I think you just answered the question for us. Thank you.”
