Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is scaring liberals on all levels.
Walker’s announcement Monday that he’ll be making a run for president was widely anticipated – but the fact that he made his declaration without the assistance of a teleprompter?
Well, for many political followers, that was just shocking.

Because let’s face it, someone in a leadership position speaking from the heart is not something Americans are used to seeing these days.
As the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported:
Taking the stage before thousands of supporters at the Waukesha County Expo Center, Walker pledged a hawkish foreign policy, the repeal of the health care law known as Obamacare and a sharp reduction in the role of the federal government. Walker said he would stand out among a crowded GOP field by standing for “reform, growth, safety.”
“Healthy or sick, born or unborn, I will fight and win for you,” Walker said. “Young or old — or somewhere in between — I will fight and win for you.”
The contrast with the current, Teleprompter-bound president was obvious. And captivated spectators and Walker supporters expressed their shock, awe, and admiration on Twitter:
Walker has done an impressive job memorizing his speech (which is a version of his familiar stump speech from the past few months)

@steveholland1 So much for the dummy college drop out

@steveholland1 yep, that’s what ppl do when they give a shit

Per CNN, Walker will be talking sans teleprompter. That already makes him more qualified than Obama

The Democrats disagree, and unleashed this hyperbolic and hysterical tweet in long anticipation of Walker’s announcement.
And he’s running for president. pic.twitter.com/lGtxlAoOoH

But Walker remained smooth as butter…
@redsteeze I’m telling you. Walker has real principles. They are in him.

@redsteeze when you believe what you say, you shouldn’t need a teleprompter.

@TwitchyTeam @Al_Gorelioni You don’t need a teleprompter unless you’re delivering a big steamy pile of B.S. to the public.

RedSteeze wanted to remind the current president how it’s done:
Walker not using a prompter. cc @POTUS
— Stephen Miller (@redsteeze) July 13, 2015
@redsteeze @POTUS Teleprompters should be banned from politics. If you can’t speak for yourself, you got no business running the country.

And the fact that Walker didn’t wear a tie during the announcement? Well, that was nearly too much.
No tie or podium either… https://t.co/virWd3vJ5F

Presidential announcement attire getting more and more casual. Will @JohnKasich announce in Bermuda shorts?
— Karen Tumulty (@ktumulty) July 13, 2015
Maybe she’d more happy if Walker showed up wearing mom jeans.
