Obama admin reveals new rules that FORCE communities to racially integrate

The transformation of the United States into something you might not recognize is moving full speed ahead under the Obama administration: now federal officials are trying to dictate where people should live under the guise of racial integration.

New rules were revealed Wednesday that will direct communities nationwide “to set goals for reducing segregation, and then regularly report their progress to the feds,” the Daily Caller reported.

According to the Caller:

The Department of Housing and Urban Development rule is intended to prod communities to meet fair housing standards established in the Fair Housing Act of 1986, by making previously unavailable or unreliable data accessible to the public, which could then use the data as an impetus for change.

The Fair Housing Act requires the government to not only eliminate racial discrimination in housing, but also to encourage racially integrated neighborhoods.

Questionnaires will be distributed to communities as mentioned in a fact sheet titled “The Duty to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing” It says the new rule is intended to combat discrimination, overcome patterns of segregation, and foster inclusive communities free from racial barriers.

Completed questionnaires will be analyzed and entered into a database where federal officials will apparently determine whether “significant disparities in housing needs and access to opportunities” exist.

Communities will be required to set goals related to the data and submit public progress reports to the federal government every three to five years, the Caller reported.

“This is the most serious effort that HUD has ever undertaken to do that,” HUD Secretary Julian Castro said. “I believe that it’s historic.”

The intrusive rules follow a Supreme Court decision, based on the Fair Housing Act, that says “any housing policy that disproportionately impacts minorities can be targeted in a lawsuit, regardless of the intent of the policy,” according to the Caller.

Critics of the new rule say it could indirectly force some states to move whole neighborhoods around according to federal demands, including forcibly moving Section 8 housing to high-income suburbs, reported the Caller.
