CNN is tastelessly celebrating the removal of the Confederate battle flag in South Carolina.
The flag is being ousted from the state Capitol grounds, and CNN is licking its chops, even putting up a countdown clock to mark the occasion.
Gov. Nikki Haley signed a bill Thursday to take down the flag and have it displayed in a museum, and announced that a removal ceremony would take place Friday at 10 a.m.
Shortly thereafter, “the most trusted name in news” unveiled its countdown clock. All that was left was for CNN to display one of its famous animations depicting what the Capitol would look like when the flag was removed.
The Twitterverse emphatically mocked the clock.
