One of President Obama’s chickens came home to roost on Wednesday when a transgender-immigration activist starting shouting over him at a White House event in honor of gay pride, no less.
“OK, you know what?” an exasperated Obama said. “No, no, no, no, na, na…”
Obama pointed at the heckler who was demanding that he “release all LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer) immigrants from detention and stop all deportations.”
“Listen, you’re in my house,” the president interrupted to cheers from the crowd.
“You know what?” Obama said.
“It’s not respectful when you get invited to somebody… You’re not going to get a good response from me by interrupting me like this. I’m sorry. I’m sorry … Shame on you, you shouldn’t be doing this.”
The activist crowd started chanting, “Obama, Obama, Obama!” to drown out the heckler – a far cry from the Republican heckler-shut-down chant that usually goes, “USA, USA, USA!”
Finally, Obama had the interrupter who was later identified as transgender illegal alien, Jennicet Gutierrez, forcibly escorted from the peoples’ house.
The gay rights action group, GetEQUAL posted Gutierrez’s statement about the incident.
“There is no pride in how LGBTQ and transgender immigrants are treated in this country. If the president wants to celebrate with us, he should release the LGBTQ immigrants locked up in detention,” Gutierrez said.
This is not the first time, Obama has had a run-in with a disgruntled activist.
In 2013, Obama was confronted by an immigration heckler who insisted the president had the authority to stop deportations. At the time, Obama denied that he did.
Until he changed his mind.
In November 2014, Obama unilaterally issued executive amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. The action as has been held-up in courts ever since.
Americans will wait to see if Obama’s amnesty will be allowed to take root before he is removed from their house in 2017.
