While convicted Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was being sentenced to death Wednesday, an equally dramatic scene was unfolding outside the courthouse.
A Tsarnaev lookalike was being arrested with a meat cleaver hidden inside his SUV.
The man came to the attention of police when he illegally parked his car after driving past the barricades set up outside the Joseph Moakley Federal Court building, where Tsarnaev was hearing his sentence, according to the Daily Mail.
“We investigated a male in an illegally parked car with improperly posted registration plates,” Boston Police Officer Rachel McGuire said, according to the Daily Mail.

Police later said the man was at the hearing to protest the death penalty.
“Officers learned the suspect had driven to the courthouse to express his opposition and dissent with the death penalty,” the Boston Police Department said in a statement, acccording to Metro, a free daily in Boston and other cities.
“A search of the vehicle enabled officers to see and take possession of what appeared to be a meat cleaver. At no point did the suspect use or threaten anyone with the weapon.”
The 2013 Boston Marathon bombing killed three people — Martin Richard, 8, Krystle Campbell, 29, and Lingzi Lu, 23 — and injured hundreds of others.
The jury found Tsarnaev guilty of 30 counts in April, and it recommended the death penalty in May.
