Crazy libs! Nikki Haley appeared ‘too pleased with herself’ during Confederate flag-removal call

A Republican can’t win in the eyes of a radical progressive – no matter what.

South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley’s announcement  Monday that she supports removing the Confederate flag from the state  Capitol  grounds was met with approval of many, but not all. Some liberals  criticized the governor on social media for appearing “too pleased with herself.”

As far as progressives are concerned, apparently, if they aren’t prompting the removal of the flag, the intention is not genuine

Her announcement came after the massacre of nine innocent churchgoers in a historic black church last week and pictures sufaced of the suspected killer, Dylann Roof, carrying the Confederate flag.

Removing the flag would require two-thirds approval from the state’s General Assembly, but Haley’s announcement could be a key part of getting the process going.

But since she’s a Republican, don’t expect progressives to be happy about it.

Case in point, two prominent progs who thrive on division and apparently can’t bear a gesture of unity.

Show host and columnist Roland Martin and Joan Walsh, editor-at-large for the ultra-progressive Salon website, took to Twitter to showcase their disapproval of Haley’s actions – even though it’s an act both would surely have cheered if it came from a Democrat.

Those who applaud Haley’s decision were ready to fight back.

Most were objective reports of Haley’s decision.

But smug Walsh didn’t learn anything from Martin’s Twitter war and doubled down on the “Haley is not genuine” meme.

And it took a Republican governor to do it. Ouch, progs. Ouch.

A reference to the grand show of solidarity, love and strength by Charleston citizens – of all races – after the attack.
