The insufferable liberals who make up the majority of National Public Radio‘s audience are outraged over the snooty network’s programming decision to bring in talent-deficient Kim Kardashian for an appearance on its comedic quiz Show, “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me!”
During her 11-minute segment June 13 called “Not My Job,” Kardashian had to answer questions about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Believe it or not, she correctly answered two out of the three questions asked of her, according to the Associated Press.
NPR is non-profit and broadcasts no advertising. It instead relies on funding from state and local governments, corporate underwriting, on-air pledge drives and federal funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
In short, it scorns capitalism and relies on charity (corporate donors) and government coercion in the form of taxpayer funding to pick up the tab for the virtually non-stop liberal propaganda that passes for news and entertainment.
Because of the Kardashian spot, some regular donors have already threatened to keep their checkbooks closed next time around, which is making NPR executives scratch their heads.
The AP reported:
In a response posted on NPR’s website, ombudsman Elizabeth Jenson said she wasn’t sure what to make of the outrage over Kardashian’s 11-minute appearance. She said while Kardashian wasn’t a great guest, “she was gracious” and had a couple of funny lines.
Mike Pesca, who guest hosted the Chicago-based program during Kardashian’s appearance, was more direct. He called the complaining listeners “close minded,” according to the Daily Mail.
One of those listeners responded:
She’s also a shameless strumpet who started her claim to “fame” through a sex tape. I’m tired of seeing her, she’s not that good looking and hardly creative. The last thing in the world I wanted to see was her baring her naked bottom on the cover of a magazine-it was all over my news feeds so it isn’t like I couldn’t see it! I’ve been asking “Who are the Kardashians and why should I care?” for years. I still don’t care and WHO ARE THEY? She’s just another unintelligent cream puff Americans seem to admire. She’s as bad as Honey Boo Boo, the Duggars, Duck Dynasty and other no class, low rent filth. Just trashy and NOT representative of hard working, every day Americans!
And yet another said:
I was one of those few people who didn’t know KK because I don’t follow reality shows. Around the time Barbara Walters asked her what she was famous for or why she was famous is the time I found out she had a sex tape that made big bucks and from that she built her fortune and made her family’s empire. I couldn’t believe my ears when she was announced as the guest. I thought, “No. Noooooooooooooo… the real guest is….” then reality hit me. Well, perhaps the show or NPR will be vindicated for this when she turns into Mrs. Kroc. (leaves the show or NPR a big fat chunk of moolah!) =p
But folks on social media saw right through the listeners’ outrage. The same listeners who swoon at the story of Bruce “Call me Caitlyn” Jenner can’t abide a Kardashian’s appearance on their favorite network?
Don’t they realize they’re all the same family of publicity hounds?
@AP Faux outrage at best…cynical outrage at worst!

@AP Why would anyone get angry over that?
— Gary J-G (@Gary_J_G) June 20, 2015
@AP get over yourselves
— WWRRD? (@WWRRD2) June 20, 2015
And this one summed it up perfectly:
@AP NPR listeners are brainwashed liberals who think they’re better than everyone else.

And on that note, one has to ask: Are NPR listeners complaining because the network booked Kardashian to appear on a program, or because the liberal hoity-toity snobs are ashamed to admit Kardashian is just like them — an Obama-voting, tree-hugging, PC-loving liberal.
