As the NAACP vows to stand behind Rachel Dolezal, the president of its Spokane chapter who was recently outed as being white, the Twitterverse is not so forgiving.
“NAACP Spokane Washington Branch President Rachel Dolezal is enduring a legal issue with her family, and we respect her privacy in this matter. One’s racial identity is not a qualifying criteria or disqualifying standard for NAACP leadership,” the NAACP said. “The NAACP Alaska-Oregon-Washington State Conference stands behind Ms. Dolezal’s advocacy record.”
But that didn’t stop the Twitterverse from feasting on the carcass of what was Dolezal’s public persona until this week.
