An unbelievable scene unfolded at an Indiana Wal-Mart last week when two grown women came to fisticuffs after a screaming match – but things only got uglier when the young son of one of the women joined in the melee and no one did anything to stop it.
The incident began when two customers got into an argument. It sounded as if a woman using a motorized rolling cart was being accused of not needing it.
“You don’t look like you need to be in a wheelchair…” a woman wearing black can be heard saying before obscenities started to fly.
Onlookers began to record the incident and seemed amused until things got physical. That’s when witnesses urged the women to stop, saying that there were kids around.
The boy in the video is 6 years old, Beech Grove police told WTHR 13, and wasn’t fazed. He was encouraged by his mom to assist in the beat-down.
“Johnny, punch her in her f***ing face,” she said.
The boy repeatedly hit the other woman, who was pinned down, with objects he found on the shelves.
“I don’t care about you!” the little boy yelled at her.
Onlookers were clearly horrified.
“Hey, buddy, don’t do that,” someone tried to tell the boy.
“Hey, hey! Stop it,” someone else said when the boy picked up another object to hit the woman with.
“You can’t tell me to stop! Do not even tell me what to do!” he yelled back. “I’m not playin’ right now!”
Witnesses can be overheard figuring out how to stop the child. “I don’t think you can touch him because you will be involved in a lawsuit with the way sh** is nowadays,” someone is heard saying.
The altercation didn’t come to an end until police arrived on the scene several minutes after the fight began.
“It was an avoidable fight between two females that should’ve known better,” Police Maj. Tom Hurrle told WTHR.
Both women were escorted off the premises with no mention of arrests. Police are considering filing charges and may involve the Department of Child Services in their investigation, according to Fox 59.
“I worry for the future of this young man, too, if he’s already like that at six years old,” Hurrle said.
What a sad story all the way around.
