Baltimore prosecutor’s husband boasted about riot ‘stand-down’ order: ‘It worked out’

In a sane world, this would be damning.

The husband of Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby was captured on video boasting that he had helped order the city’s police to “back off” during last month’s riot — and said periodic outbursts of violence were the only way young black men in America had to express themselves.

The video of Baltimore City Councilman Nick Mosby’s got new attention Thursday after news spread that his wife would ask a court to block the release of the autopsy of Freddie Gray, the man whose death in police custody spurred the eruption of arson and looting that disgusted the country.

These two must have some interesting breakfast conversations.

“We told them [we] would be able to kind of talk to the young guys out here,” Mosby told an interviewer. “And we asked them to back up.”

He further claimed that the order to have police stand down had been a success for the city.

“We asked them to back up, and they did,” he told the reporter. “It worked out.”

Like other progressive politicians and media figures, Mosby blamed most of the violence on “decades old” problems with the city’s education system, saying that “undereducated” young men had no other way to express their frustration.

“In urban America, a lack of education, a lack of commercial development, a lack of opportunity, it’s the social economics of it,” Mosby said.

“It has nothing to do with West Baltimore or this particular corner in Baltimore. This could erupt anywhere in socially, economically deprived America.”

Mosby was good enough to at least call the violence unfortunate.

“You know, decades-old of failed policies, you know, decades old of lack of development for these communities,” he said. “I mean, it’s a lot that pours into it and these young boys are speaking tonight unfortunately in a very wrong way.”

At least he seems to think that it all “worked out” for Charm City.

Protesters get what they want – Baltimore cops refuse to proactively police

Democrats have controlled Boston for HOW long?
Black have been in leadership positions for HOW long?

Who’s fault could a lack of education, a lack of commercial development, a lack of opportunity,in BALTIMORE possibly be?
