Baltimore prosecutor’s husband boasted about riot ‘stand-down’ order: ‘It worked out’

In a sane world, this would be damning.

The husband of Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby was captured on video boasting that he had helped order the city’s police to “back off” during last month’s riot — and said periodic outbursts of violence were the only way young black men in America had to express themselves.

The video of Baltimore City Councilman Nick Mosby’s got new attention Thursday after news spread that his wife would ask a court to block the release of the autopsy of Freddie Gray, the man whose death in police custody spurred the eruption of arson and looting that disgusted the country.

These two must have some interesting breakfast conversations.

“We told them [we] would be able to kind of talk to the young guys out here,” Mosby told an interviewer. “And we asked them to back up.”

He further claimed that the order to have police stand down had been a success for the city.

“We asked them to back up, and they did,” he told the reporter. “It worked out.”

Like other progressive politicians and media figures, Mosby blamed most of the violence on “decades old” problems with the city’s education system, saying that “undereducated” young men had no other way to express their frustration.

“In urban America, a lack of education, a lack of commercial development, a lack of opportunity, it’s the social economics of it,” Mosby said.

“It has nothing to do with West Baltimore or this particular corner in Baltimore. This could erupt anywhere in socially, economically deprived America.”

Mosby was good enough to at least call the violence unfortunate.

“You know, decades-old of failed policies, you know, decades old of lack of development for these communities,” he said. “I mean, it’s a lot that pours into it and these young boys are speaking tonight unfortunately in a very wrong way.”

At least he seems to think that it all “worked out” for Charm City.

Let’s not be so judgmental here. If your “voice isn’t heard,” what recourse is left to you other than smashing, burning looting and throwing bricks? Particularly if, you know, you aren’t able to compose an intelligible communication to your political representatives. That’s why Obama and Hillary are explaining to us that we must dedicate additional billions to improving the cultural environment of the “inner city.” And perish the thought that, in the meanwhile, the police should be permitted to retaliate against the “symbolic speech” of the urban masses.

    1. Rip Rogers says:

Wait just a dmn minute! One has to judge life from moment to moment and through out a lifetime. Yes we have to be judgmental which means, we have to make decisions all day long.
If the Marxist who put the minority into the pit of despair continues to be voted in by the same illiterates you speak of what can we do…
As far as retaliation, one is allowed by OUR constitution to rebel when the politicians fail to follow said constitution. There is going to be a Constitutional Revolution and I would advise ALL anti-American,/anti-Christians to wise up and soon.

    2. Rip Rogers says:

The “voice” of lies and anarchy do not need to be heard.

      1. Doug says:

Can you give us a timetable so I can be out of town that day.

Maybe there needs to be a new attitude within the inner city to allow teachers to do their job and support them. Parents have a responsibility to encourage their children to make positive efforts in all areas. It is the gangs and drug pushers that are the real problem and status symbol of the community. As long as Democrats continue to rule the community their will be a lack of responsible use of funds and all they want is more money and are not held accountable for their use of it.

I just bet the liquor store owner appreciates the hell out of Mr.Suit telling the police to back off.

    1. Patrick Mullen says:

Mr. suit needs to pay for the liquor stores loss right out of his own pocket! Well him and all of “the men” that told the police to back off. Show some real manhood gents. Pay for the damage done by all those out of control young black CHILDREN, not young men, cuz they’re not men.

““You know, decades-old of failed policies, you know, decades old of lack of development for these communities,” he said. “I mean, it’s a lot that pours into it and these young boys are speaking tonight unfortunately in a very wrong way.””

In a nut shell Mr. Mosby is telling the voters that he and many others of the Progressive Liberal Democrats know that their policies and agenda have grossly failed the people but they want to continue these failed policies and pushing a false agenda to enrich themselves some more on the backs of the taxpayers while giving lip service only.

He is telling Baltimore to kick ’em out and replace them with true Conservatives, not Rinos, that will help the people and see the city become what it once was. Not what is there today.

    1. Sandra Manzi says:

Open mouth, put foot in it… Maybe if those kids WOULD GO TO SCHOOL… THIER LIVES WOULD BE DIFFERENT… again these Cities have been RUN BY DEMOCRATS FOR YEARS… so it’s the problems THEY HAVE HELPED MAKE..

I’ve heard your voice, and it’s unintelligible….Know’um sayin’?

    1. RE Hafner says:

Intelligent people do not speak Ebonics, the vocal grunts of black idiots.

      1. Doug says:

That’s the same as when I correct egregious errors in posts and people tell me, “Leave the poor undereducated person alone because I understood what they meant.”

        1. RE Hafner says:

As long as liberal fools want to give them a free ride they will remain uneducated mindless animals that will breed like uncontrolled rats. Baltimore an example of the brain dead runninga

        2. Mi Li says:

Typos and ebonics are apple’s and oranges. A typo doesn’t make a person uneducated.

    2. Beeotchstewie says:

Publik skuul edjumacashun has done wonders for these poor downtrodden thugs.

  5. DenverRegis says:

Until they want to be serious about going to school and learning, there is nothing we can do for them.

  6. Mark Kuykendall says:

He’s a shameful excuse for, well, a human being.

  7. Larry J Dunster Sr says:

This guy just said that decades of problems with education, etc.Does he not know that his democratic party has had control of Baltimore since 1920.If burning and looting is the only way young black men have to express themselves maybe they should have paid attention in school and learned to read and write

  8. Dwight says:

are you saying that we can react like after being a victim of the knockout game by returning the favor and letting it all out…

  9. RE Hafner says:

Cut their food stamps, welfare, subsidized housing, free medical so they either work or starve. If these ghetto rats are working they would not have time to riot. Or, how about rioters and looters are shot on site, problem solved!

    1. Beeotchstewie says:

      Both seem like sensible options.

  10. Beeotchstewie says:

Pick them up and drive them to multiple polling stations so they can vote as many times as they please is more realistic.
