‘Wrong in every way!’ Megyn Kelly attacks CNN Cuomo’s ignorance, comparison of ‘Draw Muhammad’ to ‘n-word’

Fox News host Megyn Kelly tore into CNN’s Chris Cuomo for comparing activist Pamela Geller’s “Draw Muhammad” contest to using the “n-word.”

“She’s not allowed to have a ‘Draw Muhammad’ Contest because in his view, he has pronounced, that is offensive,” Kelly said to National Review editor Rich Lowry.

Lowry distinguished the use of the “n-word” from a “Draw Muhammad” contest by noting that the “n-word” is toxic on it’s own due to its association with racial oppression.

Although the Muhammad cartoons, he admitted, may be offensive to some, “they’re not gratuitously offensive because she wants to include the line ‘support free speech,’” Lowry said. “That is a political message and a political message that should be entirely unobjectionable.”

Kelly brought up an earlier Cuomo tweet, which he later deleted, saying, “hate speech is excluded from protection. dont just say you love the constitution…read it.”

“That tweet is totally wrong,” Kelly said. “It’s wrong in every way it can be wrong. I don’t even have the time to explain to you how wrong that is. So he got called out, and he never really admitted how wrong he was.”

Then the Fox News host summed up the the importance the First Amendment.

“And once again he doesn’t get the position, which is the reason the speech is so important is because it is in defiance of somebody trying to impose their ideals on the American people.”
