Michelle Obama’s mission to destroy anything tasty has a new target — s’mores.
On Sunday, the first lady’s endorsed Twitter account @myplate tweeted out a cringe worthy alternative to the traditional campfire treat.
“An easy treat kids will love- Strawberry S’mores!” the account tweeted proudly.
The recipe calls for graham crackers, strawberries and low fat yogurt.
According to the MyPlate website, the initiative was founded on June 2, 2011 by Michelle Obama and USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack as “the federal government’s new food icon” in an effort “to help consumers make healthier food choices.”
Of course, Twitter users shot back in horror at the idea of messing with the traditional recipe.

@MyPlate Is this a new government mandate? Are you going to start rummaging through our cupboards to make sure we comply?

@MyPlate to think for your sake we should not pass down a tradition of summer camping fun? Stay out of our lives.

@MyPlate You’ve got to be kidding! S’mores are a national tradition for America’s families. Please concentrate on important things!

@MyPlate No one tell .gov about baseball, hot dogs, apple pie and Chevrolet. They’ve only gotten one of those four, so far.
