Outspoken conservative actor James Woods ridiculed White House press secretary Josh Earnest Thursday on social media over a dismissive comment Earnest made about the fall of Ramadi, the capital of Iraq’s second-largest province.
“Are we going to light our hair on fire every time that there is a setback in the campaign against ISIL?” Earnest said at Tuesday’s news briefing in response to the Iraqi army’s defeat in the city that’s located just 70 miles west of Baghdad.
A defeat he repeatedly characterized as a “setback.”
With the White House appearing to have no answer to ISIS, or a plan in place to deal with them, Woods offered some much needed advice:
Josh Earnest re the loss of Ramadi: “Are we going to light our hair on fire every time there’s a setback?” It couldn’t hurt…

Talking about lighting anything on fire in the same breath as ISIS is sure to get people’s attention, but with Woods tremendous popularity on social media, that was a given anyway.
Based on the responses, Obama’s ineptitude isn’t much of a secret these days. Here’s a sampling from Twitter:

@RealJamesWoods We had better, or they’ll light it on fire for us.
— rle (@Nakko60) May 22, 2015
@RealJamesWoods No, it couldn’t. Actually doing “something” would be helpful.

.@RealJamesWoods It’s “cute” how Obama Admin calls mass enslavement of little girls a “setback.”

@RealJamesWoods How do these idiots say such things with a straight face?
— Bang Zoom (@VikingMike88) May 22, 2015
@RealJamesWoods Exactly. I encourage Mr. Earnest to give it a try…see what happens. I’ll even supply the lighter, ’cause I’m a giver…

@RealJamesWoods That would constitute actual effort on their part, James, so don’t count on it….

@RealJamesWoods You have to wonder if anyone in this regime saw the pilot who was burned alive in that cage. No self-awareness. Inhumane
