Romney jokes that his boxing match with Holyfield was ‘as clean as Hillary Clinton’s server’

Former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney went toe to toe for two rounds Friday with former world heavyweight champion boxer Evander Holyfield in what was billed as the “Quake on the Lake.”

Romney jokingly said he wanted the charity boxing match to be “as clean as Hillary Clinton’s server.”

It was all part of a black-tie fundraiser designed to raise money for CharityVision, a Utah nonprofit that “helps doctors in developing countries perform surgeries to restore vision in people with curable blindness,” ABC News reported.

Romney’s son, Josh, serves as a volunteer president for CharityVision.

The former Massachusetts governor said Holyfield complimented him after the fight. Sort of.

“He said, ‘You know what? You float like a bee and sting like a butterfly,’” Romney told reporters.

In typical boxing-world fashion, the hype leading up to the fight was just as exciting as the contest itself.
