Furious Megyn Kelly, Fox team SHRED Dems’ exploiting Amtrak crash; ‘Despicable’

Fox News host Megyn Kelly was all fired up Wednesday over politicians, primarily Democrats, who are politicizing the Amtrak disaster before the bodies can even be accounted for.

Kelly noted that before the wreckage was even cleared, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest were among those who were quick to point fingers at a failure in Congress to provide infrastructure funding as being a contributing factor to the derailment.

But early evidence shows the human element is much more to blame.

Fox News correspondent Trace Gallagher explained that the train derailed when it entered a left-hand turn going at more than twice the 50 mile-per-hour speed limit.

“Speed looks like the demon,” he told Kelly.

Chris Stirewalt, Fox News digital politics editor, referred to the pols’ infrastructure failure argument as “hot garbage.”

He was astonished that they’re turning the tragedy into a budget battle “even before the dead are recovered.”

But the fireworks really went off when Kelly brought out guest Robert Zimmerman, New York Democratic National Committee member, who clung to the notion that it was an infrastructure failure.

“Megyn, we have an infrastructure crisis in our country,” he insisted.

Kelly countered, “You don’t exploit a tragedy like this, that may have nothing to do with infrastructure!”
