UNBELIEVABLE: Conservatives erupt over absurd, ‘racist’ interview with Ted Cruz

God knows what he’s going to ask Ben Carson.

Bloomberg News managing editor and MSNBC contributor Mark Halperin ignited an Internet firestorm in conservative circles with an interview of Sen. Ted Cruz that was so clearly based on ethnic stereotypes it could have been Onion parody.

It just didn’t have the Onion’s intelligence, class or taste. And conservatives didn’t let it go. Not by a long shot.

The insanity of the interview, posing to a Cuban-American candidate for the presidency questions like “What’s your favorite dish?” and “Do you like Cuban music or do you have a favorite Cuban singer?” was unbelievable.

But perhaps the worst part was when he asked Cruz to welcome Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders to the presidential campaign in “Espanol.”

Imagine if anyone asked President Obama to welcome John McCain to the race in Ebonics, or asked him what his favorite soul food dish was?

That person’s career would have been over.

The Twitterverse erupted with vitriol over the racist interview.
