Before game against Baltimore, NY Mets pay tribute to officer murdered by thug

The New York Mets exchanged their team headgear for NYPD caps, and observed a moment of silence Tuesday for NYPD Officer Brian Moore, who died Monday after being shot in the head during a street stop last week.

The team paid the tribute during batting practice prior to their game against the Baltimore Orioles — a poignant opponent under the circumstances — and announced its intention on Twitter:
