Young NYPD cop shot during routine questioning dies

New York police Officer Brian Moore died Monday, two days after being shot by an ex-con he confronted on a street in Queens.

Moore, 25 was shot after questioning Demetrius Blackwell, 35, about an object he was messing with in his waistband.

“Do you have something in your waist?’’ Moore asked the thug, according to the New York Post.

“Yeah, I got something,” Blackwell snapped back before opening fire.

On Monday, Moore’s family made the heart-wrenching decision to remove him from life support, the Post reported.

New York Police Commissioner Bill Bratton was spotted entering the hospital about 12:30 p.m. while Moore’s family was at his bedside, according to the Post.
