Supporting persecuted Christians is not that hard, Mr. Obama. Here’s how it’s done.
Sen. Ted Cruz expressed his support Tuesday for China’s Christians in a video he made for China Aid’s 2015 Freedom and Justice Dinner.
“It’s not a coincidence that nations ruled by brutal dictators are so often hostile to the Christian faith,” the 2016 Republican presidential contender said. “We are so fortunate that in America our founders had the understanding that our rights come from God almighty, not the government.”
Cruz also quoted China Aid founder and President Bob Fu’s testimony to Congress asking the Obama administration stand up to China on the issue of human rights.

“As [Fu] has testified to Congress, the U.S. president and the secretary of state ought to have the courage to urge the Chinese government in unequivocal terms to improve its record on human rights and the rule of law and to adopt a standard that stresses the value of universal human rights,” Cruz said.
“I couldn’t agree more.”
