Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer wasted little time slamming the CNN anchor who blamed military veterans on the nation’s police forces for outbreaks of rioting.
In a Twitter posting Wednesday morning, Meyer slammed CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, who made headlines on Tuesday by slandering the image of American veterans by portraying them as having quick trigger fingers, and reflexes more attuned to a battlefield than civilian policing duties.
Recounting what she said was an interview with a Baltimore official, Baldwin said, “A lot of young people, and I love our nation’s veterans, but some of them are coming back from war, they don’t know the communities, and they are ready to do battle.”
The smear hit Meyer hard. And he hit back.
Your right @BrookeBCNN we are ready to stand for our nation just like we always have. Maybe you should consider doing the same!

Meyer had plenty of support from Twitter users.
