Video: State department admits computer system has been hacked

Inspector General Steve Linick confirmed Tuesday before the Senate that the State Department computer systems have been hacked in the past.

The admission came in response to a question from Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga.

“Do you have evidence that the State Department’s network has been attacked, and does that affect you guys?” Perdue asked.

Outrage! Judge hammers white victims of armed home invasion for racism, lets criminal go free.

“There is evidence it has been attacked, and it has affected us. I can’t really go into details because of the nature of the information,” Linick responded.

If a State Department system can be hacked despite all the security available to the federal government, imagine how vulnerable a privately owned server is.
