‘Jayvee’ team strikes again; ISIS renews Christian massacres with sickening beach, desert slaughters

Islamic State militants released a 29-minute video Sunday purporting to show Libyan affiliates of the terrorist organization shooting and beheading two groups of Ethiopian Christians.

One of the mass executions was carried out by an Islamic State affiliate in eastern Libya known as Barka Province; the other in the Fazzan Province, an affiliate in the south, according to The Associated Press.

This report of the incident comes via U.S. News & World Report.

After a masked terrorist delivers a lengthy speech, the video depicts what appears to be the executions. The captives in the south are shot to death; those in the east are marched to the beach and beheaded.

This comes two months after Islamic State-affiliated militants beheaded 21 Coptic Christians from Egypt on the shores of the Mediterranean.

The AP reported:

Ethiopia long has drawn the anger of Islamic extremists over its military’s attacks on neighboring Somalia, whose population is almost entirely Muslim. While the militant in the video at one point said “Muslim blood that was shed under the hands of your religion is not cheap,” it did not specifically mention the Ethiopian government’s actions.

It is believed that those murdered by the extremists were migrant laborers en route to Europe in search of employment. Libya is a common hub for Africans traveling to Europe.

Ethiopian government spokesman Redwan Hussein told the AP that the Ethiopian embassy in Cairo was at work to verify the video’s authenticity.

“If this is confirmed, it will be a warning to people who wish to risk and travel to Europe though the dangerous route,” Hussein said.

The following images taken from the video were tweeted by various news groups and bloggers:

News of the executions resulted in taunts and jeers directed at the Islamic State terrorists.

Purgatory? Why not hell?

So far, President Obama’s schedule is clear for Monday. He still has time to put together a news briefing, in which he can tell the American people that some Christians “on their high horse” were killed by some random folks.

Then it’s off to the links.
